Alumni Day 2021
Our 63rd Alumni Day was held on May 1, 2021, honoring the classes ending in "1"and "6". Because of the pandemic, we held the event virtually, with 89 attending. Thank you to everyone who responded to our post-event survey. Your praise and suggestions have been shared with the Board.
Our keynote speaker
was Mary Belmont '71, EdD, RN, GNP, whose timely presentation was
on "Epidemics of the 20th Century". Mary is a distinguished
lecturer at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. She led us through
the vital roles nurses played as we dealt with Spanish flu, polio and
AIDS. People found them informative and inspiring. You can view Mary's
slides
here,
which include many photos from the Weill Cornell Medical Center
Archives.
This year’s Distinguished Alumni Award was presented to
Ina Goldberg '76. This award follows Ina's contributions to
patient care, education and as a medical science liaison in a healthcare
career that spans 53 years.
Nominations for the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award will be due by January 15, 2022.
